Larry Page, well known producer of The Kinks and The Troggs became his own artist on six occasions through the 60's as leader of the Larry Page Orchestra. Like fellow producer John Schroeder, Larry saw the huge potential in alternative arrangements of pop hits as played by a pop band backed by a full orchestra.
The arrangements on "Kinky Music" really swing, there is plenty of gritty guitar work and swirling Hammond playing, the Larry Page Orchestra versions easily stand up on their own.
