Rare and excellent original soundtrack composed by Fred Karlin to the 1967 Robert Mulligan directed movie Up The Down Staircase – this one is pretty darn groovy with lots of fuzz guitar, organ, sax, flute and wicked drums!
The set opens with the title track, which uses a Byrds-like 12-string electric guitar riff followed by a melodic flute part. “You’re Hip, Miss Pastorfield” is a real killer featuring an incredible drum break in the mid section. Track after track of pure 60s madness, highly recommended album to your collection. The album is still factory sealed!
